WAYNE COUNTY TRANSPORATION SERVICES

Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) is building a new and robust paratransit model, which will make the transportation program better for disabled customers who use the on-demand service. The plan brings key services impacting users in-house and includes new service providers. People’s Express is a key new service provider signing a 5-year contract beginning July 1st, 2023 with DDOT to provide 30% of paratransit services.

Call 313-774-5555 to book a ride for DDOT Paratransit services. Calls will be answered by DDOT employees who were hired specifically to handle all paratransit-related eligibility screening, scheduling, dispatch, and customer service operations.

Reservations must be made at least three business days in advance. Call 877-214-6073 between Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. to schedule your ride. A call back will be given one business day prior to your schedule ride.
